There are many JavaScript frameworks, but how do you know which one to choose? Angular and React are two very popular frameworks that have many similarities, but also quite a few differences. This blog post will cover the fundamental differences between the two to help you make the right choice for your next project.

Angular

What exactly is Angular? Angular is a development platform built on the typescript. Similar to React, it’s component based and has plenty of developer tools ready to scale projects from small to enterprise-level. It is consistently updated by the Angular team at Google. Keep in mind, Angular is based on the MVC (Model View Controller).

Key Features

· Large community support

· UI and Business Logic Separation

· Enhanced support for error handling

· Consistent with technology

· Built-in support for AJAX, HTTP, and Observables

· Shadow DOM / local CSS

React

React is an open-source JavaScript library that’s used for frontend development. Also component-based, React lets developers create complex user interfaces fairly easily using JSX and is based on the Virtual DOM. React is created and managed by Facebook and a community of developers.

Key Features

· Shadow DOM / local CSS

· React Components

· Allows you to use 3rd party libraries

· Time-Saving

· Faster Development

The Bottom Line

The reality is, both have their specialties that will serve you based on your needs. There are so many frameworks, choosing the best one can be a tough mission, but it really boils down to personal preference. Both solve the same problems, but with different methods. Happy coding!
